GFS2 filesystem will not grow, but reports "gfs2_grow complete"
Issue
- We tried to grow a GFS2 filesystem, but it didn't recognize the extra space. The
gfs2_growcommand reports:
[root@hostname]# gfs2_grow /mountpoint
Error: The device has grown by less than one Resource Group (RG).
The device grew by 500MB. One RG is 3843MB for this file system.
gfs2_grow complete.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.6
- Red Hat Cluster Suite
- GFS2 Global File System version 2
