Cross platform issues (Windows/Linux) writing to filesystem
Issue
Currently we use JBoss Studio on Linux desktops. We are migrating to Windows 7 desktops. Our production and test servers will remain on Linux. We have an application running deployed to JBoss that writes some temporary files to the operating system (the path is /maif/tmp). That path is hard coded into the source code. What's a good solution so that we can use both Windows style path names and Linux path names depending on which OS they are using?
Environment
JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 5.0.1
