Password policy restrictions when changing passwords for NIS users using yppasswd

Issue

  • Normal NIS user password change using yppasswd fails if it does not meet the password requirements.
  • NIS users cannot change password using yppasswd as it fails with errors like "The password must have at least 6 characters" and "The password must have both upper and lowercase letters, or non-letters"
