Issue

  • Unable to change the UUID of block device with xfs_admin command.
[root@test ~]# blkid /dev/sda
/dev/sda: UUID="8enqVO-btr2-J0Tp-O4Ha-vpdL-80eD-hCnum1" TYPE="LVM2_member"


[root@test ~]# xfs_admin -U generate /dev/sda
xfs_admin: /dev/sda is not a valid XFS filesystem (unexpected SB magic number 0x00000000)
Use -F to force a read attempt.
