PrometheusDuplicateTimestamps alerts after upgrading from OpenShift 4.5 to 4.6

Issue

  • After changing the Red Hat OpenShift Serverless operator Subscription from channel 4.5 to 4.6, PrometheusDuplicateTimestamps alerts appeared in the monitoring:

    $ oc logs -n openshift-monitoring prometheus-k8s-0 -c prometheus| grep 'knative-openshift-metrics'
level=warn ts=2021-02-24T13:04:01.346Z caller=scrape.go:1375 component="scrape manager" scrape_pool=openshift-serverless/knative-openshift-metrics2/0 target=http://10.129.2.38:8383/metrics msg="Error on ingesting samples with different value but same timestamp" num_dropped=9
