After upgrade, RHEL worker node is out of sync and is in SchedulingDisabled state

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Node worker1.example.com is out of sync and is reporting error message: "Failed to find /dev/disk/by-label/root".
  • MachineConfigPool named worker is in degraded state.
  • Filesystem labels for this node are missing and can be seen using below command:
$ ls -l /dev/disk/by-label
