Why do I get "HTTP method not accepted" errors using EPP

Issue

  • We are sending HTTP Head requests to our JBoss Enterprise Portal Platform and getting HTTP 500 errors and stack trace in the logs.

    2011-06-10 17:34:25,894 ERROR [org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase] Servlet.service() for servlet PortalServletWithPathMapping threw exception
org.jboss.portal.web.IllegalRequestException: HTTP Method HEAD not accepted
