Why do Windows virtual machines in KVM always use 100% of their assigned memory?
Issue
Why does the Windows virtual machine appear to consume all of the memory assigned to it while the Linux guests only consume from the host what they actually need?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 and greater running as a KVM host
- Microsoft Windows as a guest
