Why is Prometheus showing errors when checking device sizes in Heketi?

Issue

Prometheus reports the following alerts when inspecting the sizes of the physical devices managed by Heketi:


"collected metric heketi_device_size label:<name:"cluster" value:"XXXXXXXXXXXX" > label:<name:"device" value:"/dev/sdc" > label:<name:"hostname" value:"host1.example.com" > gauge <value:5.76581632e+08 >  was collected before with the same name and label values

Why are these errors observed? How to fix them?
