  • Even if dom0's physical network interface has a configured MTU of 9000, the MTU for the Xen bridge or the guests is 1500. How can I correctly configure jumbo frames for Xen guests in RHEL5?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7 or earlier

  • Xen hypervisor, version 2.6.18-274.5.1.el5 or earlier

  • jumbo frames (MTU=9000) configured for the Xen Dom0 physical network interface ("peth0")
