HCs disconnect from DC after trying to deploy a new application version with JBoss EAP 6 management console

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • I had a timeout error when deploying a new application version in production, and the management interface went down when this happened. As a result, my domain couldn't find any managed server anymore, so I restarted it.

The trouble is that even after restart it can't list the hosts. The "server" dropdown in the management console lists only "NOT-SET". If I check the managed server logs, I can see messages such as this:

[Host Controller] 2013-11-21 09:29:36,607 WARN [org.jboss.as.host.controller] (Remoting "example.com:MANAGEMENT" task-2) JBAS010914: Connection to remote host-controller closed. Trying to reconnect.
    [Host Controller] 2013-11-21 09:53:26,291 INFO [org.jboss.as.host.controller] (domain-connection-threads - 1545) JBAS010916: Reconnected to master

But I still can't see them in the console, I must restart all hosts to do that.
