Why a single file on a GFS2 filesystem gives input/output error on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Getting Input/Output error for only one file in a GFS mount point on the passive node. The same file giving no issues from the active node. Able to touch new files on the same directory , and able to run ls on these files without any issue.
  • A single file on a GFS2 filesystem gives input/output error. Other files in that directory and other directories can be accessed on both nodes. A new file can be created in that directory and other directories, and that file can also be accessed on other nodes. It's just this one file which returns EIO on one node.
