On RHEL5, the sysctl tool let you specify a group/parent as the argument and all items below that would be printed. For example:
[firstname.lastname@example.org ~]# sysctl net.core net.core.netdev_budget = 300 net.core.somaxconn = 128 net.core.xfrm_larval_drop = 0 net.core.xfrm_acq_expires = 30 ...
On RHEL6, this no longer works:
[email@example.com ~]# sysctl net.core error: "Invalid argument" reading key "net.core"
