Issue

  • Upon server startup, the following warning is displayed:
    WARNING: Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 8) requires no more than
16384 MB RAM to run as supported configuration (96668 MB detected)
Normal startup will continue in 10 seconds

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4.8, x86_64

  • 96 GB RAM

  • 64 logical processors
  • Kernel largesmp
