How do I force a hard NFS mount to re-establish it's connection with the NFS server instead of retrying indefinitely?
Issue
- There is a network issue in our environment, that is not fixable in the near future, that causes our NFS hard mounts to not reconnect after a network outage
- The NFS server is available, but the path to the server has changed, and the clients do not automatically reconnect.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
