Issue

Following messages started to be logged at time of ssh login after updating pam_krb5.

sshd[8106]: pam_krb5[8106]: error reading keytab 'FILE:/etc/krb5.keytab'
sshd[8106]: pam_krb5[8106]: TGT verified
sshd[8106]: pam_krb5[8106]: authentication succeeds for 'luser1' (luser1@EXAMPLE.COM)

Actually '/etc/krb5.keytab' does not exist on the system, but ssh login works correctly.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5/6
  • pam_krb5-2.2.14-18.el5 or above
