How to browse messages present in topic in AMQ 6.2

Environment

  • Red Hat AMQ
    • AMQ 6.2

Issue

  • Not able to browse/modify messages in topics from hawtio portal.
  • Messages in queues can be browsed but not those present in topics.

Resolution

  • Yes, you cannot browse messages of topic, they are to be subscribed and all the subscribers get the copy of it, for reference please refer link 1.
  • Due to this you cannot even view the 'Browse' button for topics created.

  • One of the other options to do so is to use JMX operation as described in mentioned document, please refer link 2 .
