Issue

  • After mounting a CIFS share, issuing ls on the mounted share reports an error of:
ls: reading directory .: Not a directory
  • Issuing ls -laZ within the mounted share directory produces output similar to the following:
?---------  ?      ?                                        filename

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
  • kernel < 2.6.18-113.el5
