rgmanager blocks during startup at "Loading Service Data" in RHEL 6

Issue

  • rgmanager doesn't start completely on any of our nodes, and never gets past "Loading Service Data":

  • We have a cluster of three hosts. Upon reboot, the rgmanager daemon doesn't seem to register with cman, and "service rgmanager stop" hangs, and the rgmanager process can only be killed with a "-9". The rgmanager process doesn't seem to open up a listening port. The last lines in its log upon startup are. In the GUI, the services are seen as disabled.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • rgmanager
