Blocked or stalled lvm commands in a cluster running clvmd but new lvm commands complete successfully in RHEL 5
Issue

lvsor otherlvmcommands are seen inpsand have been stuck for days, but newlvmcommands complete without issue - We have been experiencing hangs on shutdown on RHEL 5.9 servers running Red Hat Cluster, and have narrowed the problem down to a hung
lvscommand spawned by the LVM monitor.

Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 with the Resilient Storage Add On
lvm2-clusterlocking_type = 3in/etc/lvm/lvm.conf- One or more volume groups with the clustered attribute set
