How could I confirm a new firmware released by a vendor is supported in RHEL?

Issue

We are experiencing problems with a hardware component certified to RHEL and its vendor asked us to upgrade the firmware to a newer version.
We would like to confirm if this new firmware version is supported by Red Hat Enterprise Linux Kernel.
