Unable to register RHEL 3 system with Satellite Server

Issue

  • When attempting to register a RHEL 3 system with Satellite 5.4, I receive the following error:
gensystemid: Error registering system.
Error Class Code: 70
Error Class Info:
     All available subscriptions for the requested channel have been exhausted.
     Please contact a Red Hat Network Sales associate.
  • RHEL 3 systems currently registered to a Satellite server continue to function, but new RHEL 3 systems cannot be subscribed.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 3
  • Red Hat Satellite or Proxy 5.4.1
