Ghostscript 8.70 generates ppm with improper font spacing for some pdf documents
Issue
- Ghostscript 8.70 generates ppm with improper font spacing for some pdf documents. This was not the case with ghostscript 8.15.
- This problem is also seen when the ImageMagick
convertprogram is used to manipulate pdf files, since it uses ghostscript for processing. - ghostscript command used:
> gs -dBATCH -dNOPAUSE -dNOPROMPT -dMaxBitmap=500000000 -dAlignToPixels=0 -dGridFitTT=0 "-sDEVICE=ppmraw" -dTextAlphaBits=4 -dGraphicsAlphaBits=4 "-r72x72" "-sOutputFile=example-out.ppm" "-fexample_005.pdf"
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 with ghostscript-8.70-6
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 with ghostscript-8.70-11
