"Attached Changer" of tapeinfo command doesn't indicate correct information.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • An application vendor is configuring Backup Software named Zmanda but they fails to configure backup job.
  • The application vendor insists this failure is caused by that OS (RHEL4) cannot recognize tape changer (DELL PowerVault TL2000) properly showing the result of "tapeinfo" command.
  • But we can operate tape changer via web interface of TL2000 properly.
  • Do you know any command to prove tape changer is properly configured by OS?
