Why is a new kernel after up2date not present in /boot and grub.conf?
Issue
- Ran up2date to upgrade the kernel but the new kernel is not present in /boot directory and grub.conf file. Hence the system is not booting into new kernel. up2date shows the new kernel has been installed and is suggesting a reboot.
