csh doesn't read alias mentioned in ~/.cshrc

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • csh doesn't read alias mentioned in ~/.cshrc

  • For example, if following alias is set in .cshrc file

         alias 602'/program_files/starcd/starccm+602007/starccm+6.02.007/star/bin/starccm+'

  • It  throws below error while running executing an alias 602 from command line.

         [cfd-user-w3@smilrnd-cfd3w ~]$ 602
     602: Command not found.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • tcsh
