SSL certificate generation for Red Hat Proxy or Red Hat Satellite does not use FQDN

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Running configure-proxy.sh on Red Hat Proxy, or spacewalk-hostname-rename on Red Hat Satellite, and entering the correct fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) for the SSL "Common Name" creates an SSL certificate with the short name and not the full hostname.

Environment

  • Red Hat Network Proxy
  • Red Hat Network Satellite
