How to mount Windows shares from Linux?
Issue
- The following command fails:
mount -t smbfs //host/share /mnt/mntpoint -o username=xyz
- Currently the shares can only be accessed via Browser \\host.
- The shares should be accessible permanent.

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
