bad magic number in superblock message, but the filesystem is commented out in /etc/fstab

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

Seeing "bad magic number in superblock" after a reboot. System goes to emergency shell and asks for filesystem check.

This occurs even when the filesystem is commented out, and marked "0" in last column of /etc/fstab.

Continues to occur after running fsck on filesystems from rescue mode.
