Unable to link to URLs after RHN Satellite upgrade to v5.4

Issue

• Unable to deep-link to pages on the satellite's website after upgrading to Satellite version 5.4
• With the upgrade to v5.4 we lost the ability to deep-link to pages on  the web site. We have used this functionality extensively in the past,  have geared our processes around it, and want it back.
• Having stored the URL's to channels and few system profiles, trying to access them directly from another server redirects to Overview page. If you are not logged in to satellite web-ui, then it works fine as we need to first login and then it redirects to the desired page.
