/var/log/acpid.log grows very quickly and becomes huge.

Issue

  • acpid is filling up /var/log/acpid with useless info. These messages are repeated over and over:
[Wed Apr 30 08:00:53 2014] completed event "processor CPU1 00000080 00000000"
[Wed Apr 30 08:00:53 2014] received event "processor CPU2 00000080 00000000"
[Wed Apr 30 08:00:53 2014] notifying client 11997[68:68]
[Wed Apr 30 08:00:53 2014] completed event "processor CPU2 00000080 00000000"
[Wed Apr 30 08:00:53 2014] received event "processor CPU3 00000080 00000000"
