Trying to install packages using wildcard character “*” via katello-agent gives an error as: “<Package Name> is not a valid package name”.

Issue

When trying to install a package using wildcard character “*” on content host by going to:

Satellite WebGUI -> Hosts -> Content Hosts -> Click on a Content Host -> Packages -> Actions

And under Package Actions one of the following information is entered as an example:

libcurl*i686
libcurl-*.i686

Similar messages as below will be shown:

libcurl*i686 is not a valid package name
