"Yum repolist" shows 0 packages available in custom channel

Issue

  • On Red Hat Network Satellite, created a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 custom channel and imported a number of packages into it. Subscribed client system to this channel and yum repolist shows:

    # yum repolist
