Error received adding IDE disks in virt-manager

Issue

  • I already have four ide disks attached to my guest.
  • In virt-manager --> add hardware, I try to add another IDE disk.
  • I receive this error message: "Unable to complete install: 'No more space for disks of type 'hd''" and cannot proceed to add more IDE disks.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • KVM
