  • Upgrading satellite 5.0.1 to satellite 5.3 failed with the following error

    error: unpacking of archive failed on file /etc/sysconfig/rhn/schema-upgrade/spacewalk-schema-0.3-to-spacewalk-schema-0.4: cpio: rename failed - Is a directory
    RPM error while handling  The message was:
    There was a rpm unpack error installing the package: spacewalk-schema-0.5.20-23.el4sat
    
  • When tried to rerun upgrade then getting the following message

    # ./install.pl --upgrade
    * Starting the Red Hat Network Satellite installer.
    * Performing pre-install checks.
    ERROR: Upgrade flag passed, but could not determine if a satellite is installed.
