Is there any impact on stopping rpc.statd in a system with live NFS file system?

Presently, rpc.statd daemon is using the 631 port number in the system and need to change the port number of rpc.statd.
- Need to stop rpc.statd, so that cups will took 631 as its port.
- What would be the recommended way to change the port number of rpc.statd?
