JON resource configuration returned by API method getResourceConfiguration does not reflect latest configuration

Issue

  • Wrong offset information retrieved
  • We need to know the offset used by the already existing groups
  • The value returned by Configuration.getSimpleValue is not always the correct value for a unknown reason
  • We have to execute many times the script to have a correct value in some cases
  • The getResourceConfiguration method returns empty or out-of-date configuration

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.1.2
  • Using the JBoss ON remote API or command-line interface (CLI)
    • Calling getResourceConfiguration from ConfigurationManager OR Resource
  • The impacted resource's configuration is new or has changed
  • The JBoss ON agent's configuration-discovery interval has not yet elapsed
