Why does a RHEL 6 kickstart installation fail when using the 'multipath' directive?

Issue

  • I am getting an error from anaconda that the mpath0 device does not exist when installing to multipath using a kickstart
  • I am getting an error from anaconda that "The multipath kickstart command is not currently supported" when installing using a kickstart with the multipath option
  • Has anything changed from rhel5 to rhel6 with regards  to san boot and kickstart options? We went through some testing to make  sure this all worked correctly on rhel5, but I've ran into some issues  getting the kickstart right in rhel6.
  • Why  does a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 kickstart installation fail while  using the 'multipath' directive in the kickstart file ? The same  kickstart file works in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
