JBoss Developer Studio installation failed with error message java.io.EOFException: Attempt to read primitive data, but no data block is active.

Issue

  • While installing  JBoss Developer Studio, the installer fails after executing the following command:

  • Despite several attempts of removing log files from /tmp directory and the /home/jorge/jbdevstudio directory created in past attempts of installation, the user was still facing the same issue.

  • JBoss Developer Studio 3.0.1 Stand Alone for linux
