Snmpd shipped with RHEL4 is not honoring the option "-Lf /dev/null"

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

Even though snmpd is started with default arguments '/usr/sbin/snmpd -Lsd -Lf /dev/null -p /var/run/snmpd.pid -a', it still writes to /var/log/snmpd.log instead of /dev/null as specified on command line.
