I've issued a vgcfgrestore on one of my volume groups but resize2fs still resized the logical volume to the old size

Issue

When issuing a vgcfgrestore on a volume group where a filesystem change has not been made the resize2fs command incorrectly resizes the filesystem back to the size before the vgcfgrestore command was ran.
