  • Attempting to initialize oracleasm fails with error.

    # /usr/sbin/oracleasm init
Loading module "oracleasm": failed
Unable to load module "oracleasm"
Mounting ASMlib driver filesystem: failed
Unable to mount ASMlib driver filesystem

  • Logs show the error:

    modprobe: FATAL: Module oracleasm not found.
