httpd's mod_filter doesn't work correctly in the case of a cgi file.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • customer's system configuring httpd's deflating function (mod_deflateandmod_filter), its mod_filter doesn't work correctly when a client accesses a cgi file. 

  • On the system, mod_deflate and mod_filter are configured in  /etc/httpd/conf.d/deflate.conf. mod_filter works correctly when a client accesses a php file. 

  • That is, there is  the difference of mod_filter's behavior between a cgi file and a php file.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 4, Update 5

  • Architecture: x86_64

  • Kernel Version: kernel-2.6.18-164.el5
  • Related Package Version: httpd-2.2.3-31.el5-x86_64, httpd-2.2.3-43.el5_5.3
