Why doesn't the installer specify UUID to swap when the existing swap is used during the installation?

Issue

  • Installer doesn't specify UUID to swap when the existing swap is used during the installation.When the existing swap is used to install RHEL6, UUID is not specified to swap as follows in /etc/fstab.
/dev/sda3 swap swap defaults 0 0

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0GA
