FTP consumer with custom client exceeds server connection limit

Issue

• Issues with camel ftp consumers if combined with a custom ftp client. More specifically :

  • multiple routes consuming from the same ftp account
  • each endpoint has a different path in the uri
  • AND we are using a custom ftp client

• the outcome is:

  • ftp 530 and 550 errors as well as NPEs
  • after a few minutes the session limit of 50 server sessions is exceeded
  • no transfers are performed
