Unable to authenticate RHEL6 system to LDAP server

Issue

  • After Installing RHEL6 unable to authenticate to LDAP Server.
  • RHEL6 is forcing to use TLS when authenticating to LDAP Server, How do i stop this to use non TLS connection ?
  • When configuring LDAP authentication on RHEL6 system using sssd, below messages are seen in /var/log/messages :

    Nov 12 09:39:18 hostname1 sssd[be[default]]: Could not start TLS encryption. unsupported extended operation
    Nov 12 09:39:22 hostname1 sssd[be[default]]: Could not start TLS encryption. unsupported extended operation
    

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • External LDAP server
  • sssd
