How can I shrink the size of a tablespace in my Red Hat Network Satellite database?
Issue
-
customer went through a cleanup of old data on their RHN Satellite server
-
now that the data is cleaned up need a way to reduce the size of the DATA_TBS and UNDO_TBS tablespaces to free up local disk space
-
enlarging the filesystem is not a viable option
- Is there any way to shrink space on Satellite server database?
- The embedded Oracle database on our Satellite server currently takes up over 28GB of disk space. Each backup consumes over 6.5G, compressed. Is there anything I can do to clean this up, so that the database is not so large?
