fence_ilo fails when configured with the power_wait (-g) setting in RHEL 5 or 6

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have a problem that fence_ilo doesn't work on our cluster
  • If I run fence_ilo from the command line without -g it works, but when the cluster executes fence_ilo and we have power_wait configured in /etc/cluster/cluster.conf, fencing fails.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 or 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • One or more nodes configured to use fence_ilo in /etc/cluster/cluster.conf, or running fence_ilo from the command line
    • Using fence_ilo's -g from the command line or power_wait in /etc/cluster/cluster.conf
