How to grant java 2 security permissions to a web application domain in JBoss EAP?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • I need to add java 2 security to my web application. After a lot of trial and error I now get the following message:
access: domain that failed ProtectionDomain (vfsmemory://4l184y22-tqk066-gg3nnlw4-1-gg3nntp0-7 <no signer certificates>)

  • I can find no way of granting permissions to this domain as, as far as I can tell, the number following vfsmemory:// changes each time the app server is started.  What is the correct way to assign permissions to domains such as these?

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
    • 5.x
