EAP 5 fails to start because the ModClusterService dependency is missing

Issue

  • We're setting up mod_cluster on EAP 5. We modified our server.xml and jbossweb.sar/META-INF/jboss-beans.xml. Now JBoss fails to start due to the following error:

    ERROR:
  Deployment "HAModClusterService" is in error due to the following reason(s): ** NOT FOUND Depends on 'HAModClusterService' **
  Deployment "jboss.web:service=WebServer" is in error due to the following reason(s): Configured

    Or

    ERROR:
  Deployment "ModClusterService" is in error due to the following reason(s): ** NOT FOUND Depends on 'ModClusterService' **
  Deployment "jboss.web:service=WebServer" is in error due to the following reason(s): Configured
